Smart City Last Mile Pole

MWD is signing an agreement with Yangon Municipal for the launched of the Last Mile Pole project to transform the ordinary city into smart urban landscape in corporation with YGN Government. A step towards Myanmar 4.0, this is a high-tech project for Yangon city to tackle the toughest challenges such as urbanization, pollution and traffic congestion along with many other issues that put the cities’ administrations under immense pressure.

What is smart city?

MWD Telecom is now looking forward to creating smart city solutions like the digitalized city, smart infrastructure, smart parking, smart waste management, and many more. We provide smart poles that are wireless and remotely controlled for street lighting, solar lighting, façade lighting, and tunnel lighting. City digitalization needs smart solutions and infrastructure which can collect, record, and monitor all the data. This is to be done with the help of IoT, Cloud Computing Technology, and various other IT services.

These smart solutions can make the work easier to record and manage. Installing smart devices all around the city will bring discipline in the city and these devices can also assist in reducing the rate of crime. With cameras installed all over the city can recognize faces, vehicle registration number, and various other clues.
